Privacy Policy

The short version: Kegels has no account system, no analytics and no servers. Everything you record stays in the app on your device.

1. Who we are

Kegels - Pelvic Floor Exercises (“Kegels”, “the app”) is an iPhone app for guided pelvic floor training. This policy explains what happens to information when you use it. It applies to the app and to this website. In this policy “we” and “us” mean the app’s publisher, and “you” means the person using the app.

This site and this app are operated by Search Ventures Pty Ltd (ACN 639 906 353), trading as Kegels App.

2. What we collect

Nothing. Kegels do not ask for your name, email address, date of birth or any health identifier, and it contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs. There is no account to create and no server for us to store anything on. In Apple’s App Store privacy terms, the app is declared as Data Not Collected.

This also means we cannot see how you use the app, cannot recover your history if you lose your phone, and cannot identify you if you write to us - your email tells us only what you choose to tell us.

3. What is stored on your device

The app keeps a small local database on your iPhone so it can show you your progress. It contains:

Sessions - the date and time, the program used, repetitions completed against the target, active duration, whether the session finished or was saved as partial, and, if you choose to tap it, how the session felt (easy, just right or hard).
Settings - your selected program, cue preference and cue sound, timer style, reduced-motion preference, reminder time, days and tone, and whether Apple Health writing is on.
Your own programs - if you build a routine, the name you gave it and its timings.
Achievements - which milestones you have reached and when.

The effort rating is optional and is never required to finish a session. The app uses it only on your device, to notice when a program has become easy for you and offer the next one up. Nobody reads it but the app, and leaving it blank changes nothing except that no suggestion is made.

This data is written and read only by the app, is covered by your device’s own encryption, and is included in an encrypted iCloud or local device backup if you have backups switched on. That backup is governed by Apple’s privacy terms, not ours - we have no access to it.

4. Apple Health

If you turn on the optional Apple Health setting, available with Pro, the app writes a workout record for each finished session - the activity type, its duration, and the program and repetitions completed - into the Health app on your device. It is off unless you enable it, iOS asks for your permission separately, and you can revoke that permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Health data written by the app stays in Apple Health on your device. We never receive it, and we do not use Health data for advertising, marketing or any purpose other than recording the session you completed.

5. Notifications

Daily reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They are not push notifications: no message passes through a server, and no device token is sent anywhere. Turning reminders off in the app, or notifications off in iOS Settings, stops them completely.

6. Purchases

Kegels Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment and handles your billing details - we never see your card number, address or Apple ID. The app asks Apple only whether the current device has an active subscription, and stores that answer locally so it knows which programs to unlock.

7. This website

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no analytics or social pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs - IP address, page requested, timestamp and browser user-agent - for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you or combined with anything from the app.

Web fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when a page loads. That request includes your IP address and is handled under Google’s own privacy terms.

8. Children

Kegels is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly hold information about anyone of any age.

9. Your rights and your data

Data protection law - including the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the CCPA - gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. Because your data never reaches us, you exercise all of these directly on your device: your history is visible in the app at any time, and deleting the app deletes the local database and everything in it. We hold no copy to return, correct or erase, and we have never sold or shared personal information because we have never held any.

If you believe we hold data about you and want to make a request anyway, write to hello@kegelsapp.com and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy - for example if optional cloud sync were added - we will update this page, change the date at the top, and describe the change in the app’s release notes before it takes effect. Material changes that involve collecting personal data would be introduced as an opt-in, never switched on for you.
